Maria Gedeon Mohr
A strategic, transformative, and customer-obsessed executive with nearly two decades of experience shaping the retail, entertainment, and hospitality sectors in the MENA region. Maria’s expertise lies in designing, growing, and transforming brands and destinations propelling them onto the global stage.
Maria founded Gedeon Mohr & Partners, a transformative platform that leverages a global network of seasoned former C-level executives, advisors, and boutique consultancies, to create long-term sustainable value for its clients and all its stakeholders.
Prior to establishing Gedeon Mohr & Partners, Maria was Chief Customer and Marketing Officer at the Chalhoub Group, the largest fashion and beauty retailer in the MENA and the JV partner of LVMH. In her capacity, Maria drove the marketing and customer transformation overseeing customer experience, customer engagement, insights and analytics, brand building, partnerships, and loyalty for the group.
Throughout her career, Maria held other key sales, marketing and digital roles with prominent Tier 1 conglomerates such as Majid Al Futtaim, Mubadala, Dubai Holding and Turret Media, a founding partner of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company.
Maria began her career as an entrepreneur in 2002 by founding Select, an experiential marketing and events start-up.
Maria holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising and visual communication from the Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts (alba) in Beirut. She is also a board member of the Marketing Society Middle East chapter, Almentor.net, the largest e-learning platform in the Arab world, the International Women’s Board of Directors, and an advisory board member to other start-ups in the Middle East. She is a proud working mom of two and is a huge proponent of culture and D&I. She is a former national ski champion and is an avid tennis player. She loves art, hotels, and food, spends her spare time traveling, and enjoys cooking for friends. Maria also actively mentors start-ups and future leaders from the MENA region.
