Damian Hopkins – a highly accomplished entrepreneur & respected business leader with over 20 years’ experience working within the fashion & lifestyle sectors, Damian has extensive first-hand experience across the business spectrum, including, manufacturing, sourcing, retail, brand licensing, and franchising worldwide.
Damian has established, built and sold two full-service vendor fashion businesses, owning factories in both Bangladesh & Sri Lanka supplying men's, ladies, kids and babywear to global retailers and brands. He was an early adopter of Fairtrade Cotton and sustainable sourcing. In 2009 he was responsible for launching the first fully accredited end to end ‘Fairtrade Cotton’ supply chains supplying major UK retailers. In recognition of his work, he has recently been appointed by the sustainable organization ‘Products of Change’ as their retail ambassador.
Damian has also developed and executed numerous global licensing strategies within the fashion, lifestyle & home category for celebrities, designers and brands including launching the Kardashians fashion ranges across EMEA, a premium menswear line for Robbie Williams, and license product extensions for Julien MacDonald OBE, Nicole Farhi, Wolsey , Lipsy and Elizabeth Emanuel to name a few, generating significant top line revenues, increasing their brand IP value, as well as creating bottom-line profits for these brands.
Damian has been the Royal Warrant Grantee to Her Majesty the Queen for Wolsey since 2018, and he is the current President of The Twenty Club. Damian has also been actively involved with the Retail Trust Charity, which established in 1832, is the UK’s largest charity supporting retail sector workers wellbeing. Damian chaired the Fundraising Committee in 2018/19 raising over £1m and now co-chairs the Ambassador Group.
